Rana Desktop Client

The Rana Desktop Client is a powerful desktop application for working with hydrodynamic models in detail. It is built on QGIS and offers expert users—such as hydrologists, engineers, and modellers—the tools to:

• Build and refine 2D and 1D models

• Edit model schematisations and input data

• Run advanced simulations

• Analyse results in depth (e.g. flow paths, water levels, infiltration)

The Desktop Client complements the web-based Rana platform by offering full control over complex modelling tasks. It’s especially useful for model calibration, scenario development, and technical deep-dives that go beyond what the online interface provides.
