Styling files in Rana

Styling files in Rana using the Rana Desktop Client enables you to choose different stylings than the default stylings Rana sets.

QGIS supports a myriad of stylings, with Rana we support a subset. A shortlist of the stylings that are supported can be found in these docs: https://geocat.github.io/qgis-bridge-plugin/latest/supported_symbology.html

If you like to use a styling that does’t work in Rana yet, feel free to reach out to our servicedesk.

  1. To save a style to a file, the file needs to be uploaded to Rana first, see upload file to Rana.

  2. Now you download the file from Rana .

  3. Apply the styling you like. When you’re finished: right mouse click on the file in the Rana panel and click ‘Save style to Rana’

  4. Check the preview of the file in the Rana Web Platform to see if your styling works.
