January 5th

As of this day, Rana has taken a big step forward.

3Di has fully transitioned into Rana. This means you can run the most advanced hydrodynamic water analyses more easily than ever. In addition, the website has been renewed, the Rana Training Center is now open, and more releases are coming soon.

Hydrodynamic modelling in Rana

3Di has transitioned into Rana, making the most advanced hydrodynamic analyses available through the platform. This step opens up hydrodynamic modelling to a wider audience and gives modellers more support than ever.

Existing 3Di users can log in to Rana with their current credentials. You will receive a separate email with your personal Rana organisation code, which is also required.

Through the Rana platform, Rana users can now build models in the browser, run scenarios, assess flood impacts, and analyse and share results. Using the Rana Catalogue, you collect the required data; Rana Processes guide your analysis; and with Rana Publications you share map outputs with others.

New: Rana HCC and Rana Live

In the familiar left-hand sidebar of the platform, you will now find two new features: Rana HCC and Rana Live.

In Rana HCC, you manage your own schematisations, models, API keys, and simulations, and monitor the progress of all simulations within your organisation. This gives you more control and ownership over your models and results.

Rana Live lets you start, follow, and adjust live interactive simulations. It is an effective way to quickly and collaboratively gain insight into the water system and the structure of your model.

Rana Desktop Client

The 3Di Modeller Interface has transitioned into the Rana Desktop Client. All plugins have been updated. Editing and result analysis work as you are used to, now in a renewed environment. The Models & Simulations workspace is fully integrated into the Rana plugin.

Especially for 3Di users, we have created a short video showing how Rana provides better support and more possibilities.
