This sections covers regular file formats like vector and raster. If you need to interact with schematisations, scenario results go to this section :ref:`rdc_modelling`

.. _upload_file_to_rana:

Upload a file to Rana
----------------------------------

To upload a file in Rana using the RDC:

#) Activate the 'Rana panel' by clicking on the pictogram (|modelsSimulations|) in the toolbar.
#) Browse to the location in your project where you want the file to be
#) Use the 'Upload File' button in the Rana panel

Download a file from Rana
----------------------------------

#) Activate the 'Rana panel' by clicking on the pictogram (|modelsSimulations|) in the toolbar.
#) Browse to the file in your project that you like to download
#) Double click on the file
#) Click 'Open in QGIS' 

Files will be download to the directory set in your :ref:`Settings <setting_up_rana_panel>` under File Storage
